Lululemon athletica: Benefits of One Global Planning Process [MUSIC PLAYING] [Text on screen “Oracle”] [Mark Baxendale, SVP Planning and Allocation for Lululemon Athletica] MARK BAXENDALE: Lululemon came to life in 1998. The first store was in a little neighborhood of Vancouver called Kitsilano. Most recently we've expanded to include Australia, New Zealand, and most recently Asia and Europe. With that comes complexity. Many of our systems and processes were developed about seven, eight years ago when we were pretty much a Canadian business. And that worked for a number of years, but as the growth of the company and the complexity with that internationalization has really brought us to realize that the structures and the foundations just are not gonna be good enough to support that future expansion. And so we connected with Oracle with the view to putting in place one of the most innovative planning platforms to take us to that next level. We also at the same time are committed to localization and regionalization. So we already have planning and buying teams in Asia, in Hong Kong, and Melbourne, and in London to support our European business. And so as we looked at the RPAS implementation, it wasn't just a North America focus. It was through the lens of how do we support all of our business partners around the globe? We wanted to have the benefits of one common global process so we can act as the brand, the singular brand, that we have. We've worked very hard on developing a set of processes that will work across the globe and allow all of our partners to support and optimize their businesses whilst executing as a cohesive brand. And the RPAS solution has enabled us to embed those processes into the tool set that we've developed from a global sense. It's one version of the truth, whether you are a planner in Melbourne or a buyer in London or you're an allocator in Hong Kong. You're operating with the same processes and tool set as the rest of the team. [MUSIC PLAYING] [lululemon logo, text on screen “Oracle. oracle.com/retail”]
