Car Factory – Kia Sportage Factory Production Line Interior of a factory assembly line, rows of yellow mechanical arms working in fast motion assembling automobiles, sparks flying where they touch the metal. Sign overhead, cycle time 60 and counting, product line 233. On another line, two pairs of robotic arms lift circular parts and swivel them to a new location. A large structure pushes a plate into place on a machine, then lifts it off along the line. Metal bits clatter down into a waste collection. A frame of a car moves slowly along an overhead conveyer belt. Below it, rows of yellow robotic arms send up sparks as they work. They are behind a glass wall, and on the other side of the wall are large machines with buttons. The robotic arms are made of many tubes and pistons and wires. They work with precision on the frames of cars. Sign overhead, cycle time 0 and counting, product 232. The arms move in a synchronized manner on parts of the car frames. The whole factory is crowded with metal and motion, with some people walking among the machines. Car parts are moved on a conveyer belt above them.
